We are a mother-son team: Rocio and Jose Miguel

Rocio started her career in the healthcare field as a special education aide and then studied Speech-Language Pathology at the Andres Bello Catholic University in Caracas, Venezuela. She immigrated to South Florida with her husband Jose Alberto and their two children, Mariana and Jose Miguel. While in South Florida she began treating patients as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant before conferring her degree from Venezuela to the United States. From here she founded Arley Therapy Services with Jose Alberto. With its growth, Mariana and Jose Miguel found themselves working alongside their parents. After graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Jose Miguel decided to observe more therapies at the office where he made the decision to specialize in the field and obtain his Speech-Language Pathology Assistant license. 

Since his licensing, Jose Miguel has joined Rocio in their shared passion for learning about clinical approaches and values. They have attended both the state and national conventions multiple times. Each has obtained certification in different language approaches such as DIR Floortime and Natural Language Acquisition.
