Who creates the resources at Developlay?
Every resource is a collaboration between our mother-son team, Rocio and Jose Miguel. Rocio is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) and our Clinical Director with over 30 years of experience. Jose Miguel is a licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) with a background in Psychology who manages our clinical operations.
Why did you start Developlay.co?
After years of running our family practice, Arley Therapy Services, we saw a massive need for high-quality, evidence-based tools parents could use at home. We wanted to take the strategies we use every day in our Doral clinic and make them accessible to families everywhere.
How do you stay current with the latest speech-language research?
We are lifelong learners. Rocio and Jose Miguel regularly attend national and state conventions and hold advanced certifications in DIR Floortime®️ and Natural Language Acquisition (NLA). We don't just follow trends; we implement proven clinical frameworks.
What is your approach to language development?
We believe in "Connection over Compliance." Our resources are rooted in the DIR Floortime philosophy, which focuses on following your child’s lead to build social-emotional foundations. We also specialize in supporting Gestalt Language Processors through the Natural Language Acquisition (NLA) framework.
Are these products a substitute for Speech Therapy?
No. Our digital and physical products are educational resources and supplemental strategies. They are designed to enhance your child's communication environment and are perfect for families currently on therapy waitlists or those looking for "home-carryover" tools to use alongside their child's current clinical plan.
Is your content available in Spanish?
Yes. As a bilingual family who immigrated from Venezuela, we understand the importance of heritage language. Many of our resources and our upcoming books are developed in both English and Spanish to support bilingual households.
When will the physical children's books be available?
